His moustache was definitely a bit mad...I'm not a big fan of his art but can't help but be intrigued by it and it's a great artist to teach. Kids are naturally fascinated by surrealism as it's so bonkers. The element of zany and fun draws them in. We looked at his famous melting clocks (The Persistence of Memory) and also at Swans Reflecting Elephants. In particular we looked at Les Elephants and then using paint and felt tips, the kids created their own stick leggy elephants. Did you know that Dali was terrified of grasshoppers and loved his wife because she changed her clothes 3 times a day? Like I said, he's a fun one to talk about...
