Home Ed: Giacometti

Tuesday's artists took a peep at Giacometti and in particular we looked at his sculpture 'The Palace At 4am'. A great example of surrealism. We talked about what surrealism actually is and we watched an animation about it. Then the kids got busy with the glue guns to create their own surreal sculptures. They used a range of materials, sticks, straws, wool, wire, barbecue skewers. And then we made some edible sculptures using grapes, wine gums and marshmallows on cocktail sticks. Edible art is always fun!
