David Hockney

Can't live in Yorkshire and not take a peek at Bradford born David Hockney. One of England's most influential artists. Kids were delighted that he's still alive too! We looked at his various styles including Pop art and Photo Montage but really focussed on his landscape art. Kids were all impressed at his purple and pink Yorkshire landscapes and how he uses colours together. Looking at the colour wheel, we mixed our own paints and created our own patchwork quilt effect fields with a winding road.
