Franz Marc

This week we looked at the German artist Franz Marc, known as the artist who painted animals. We learnt that he believed colours had an emotional language and we discussed how colours make us feel. We also looked at how he fused Expressionism and Cubism. The kids loved his painting The Blue Horse. Sadly he died in battle in 1916. We will never know what he may have painted had he survived. Kids enjoyed creating bold, colourful animals.
