Takashi Murakami

Takashi Murakami is a Japanese contemporary artist. He works in fine arts media as well as commercial media. He coined the term "superflat", to describe the flat, 2-dimensional imagery from Japanese art history in manga and anime. The kids loved his weird, wacky style and relished the opportunity to create their own strange creatures!
