Impressionism

This week we checked out the Impressionism movement. Originally the term was used as an insult to the painters who adopted this style as critics believed the work looked unfinished and crude. All the kids loved the style and we talked about how they could paint a background and foreground. They got busy with their paints and sponges to create some really beautiful pieces.
