Mexico Hojalata art

Been ages since I last posted! That thing called christmas got in the way a bit. But the last two workshops of 2019 were devoted to one of the least known, most versatile, and most beautiful expressions of Mexican folk art: hojalata (tin art work). Was supposed to be just one week but the kids loved it SO much, they wanted to do more the following week. We tried different techniques to create bumpy, ridged and rounded markings and tried our hand at classic Mexican motifs such as cacti and lizards as well as anything else they fancied. Really lovely.
