Henri Matisse

Today in the home ed workshop, we looked at Matisse. We looked at the portraits he sketched in just a few simple lines and then moved onto his 'drawings with scissors' - his collage cut outs that he did in later life. We thought about geometric and organic shapes. The kids spent ages cutting out shapes. Some incorporated their name, others included figures. All were thoroughly absorbed!
