My new home ed art workshop kicked off this week with a look at one of my all time faves...Van Gogh. So sad that he painted 900 paintings and only sold one in his entire lifetime.

He's a fab artist to study...prolific, eccentric, drank a lot of Absinthe and saw everything in yellow as a result, had a barney with his mate Gauguin and afterwards chopped a piece of his ear off, shoots himself in a wheat field...

We looked at his most famous painting 'Starry Night' and the kids created their own. It sort of descended into a Jackson Pollock approach and paint was flicked everywhere. Was a lot of fun!
