Summer workshops kicked off today with Banksy. We talked about the power of street art and how it can convey anti-establishment and anti-capitalist messages. We looked at examples of Banksy's graffiti and installation art. The kids are always fascinated. They loved the art and the mystery around it. Is it a he, a she or a group of people working together? Then we went into the garden armed with spray cans. We threatened to spray paint my neighbour Barry's hair neon pink. Banksy is always a winner.
