Tuesday Art Club: Modigliani

Kids love the singsong lilt of the Italian language and relished pronouncing our artist today...Modigliani (don't pronounce the g!). One of the first European artists to see African art and you can strongly see the influence of African masks in his portraits. We talked about the long necks, elongated faces and blank eyes and then the kids used those ace paint pens (Posca) to create their own wonderful masterpieces.
