Home Ed: Edvard Munch
This week we all screamed. And we all looked at Edvard Munch's The Scream. We learnt that the stunning red sky was not a figment of his imagination and was down to the fact that a volcano (Krakatoa) half a world away in Indonesia had coloured the skies in Europe that year. So Munch was painting what he actually saw. The kids used oil pastels and their own photos to create their own screams. And we talked about the things that make us want to scream...ghosts, the dark, vicious dogs and broccoli.
